What do you think? Answer below!

1 egg white
1 teaspoon water
5 cups pecan halves
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
PREPARATION:
In a mixing bowl, with an electric hand-held mixer on high speed, beat egg white and water until foamy. Stir pecans into egg white mixture until well coated. Combine sugar, cinnamon, and salt; sprinkle over pecans, stirring once again to coat thoroughly.
Spread pecans in single layer on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake at 225° for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Leave on baking sheet until completely cooled. Store in an airtight container.
Makes 5 cups.
Here’s a recipe:
1 egg white
1 teaspoon water
2 12 ounce cans (5 cups total) mixed nuts (or just pecans)
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
Grease a 15x10x1 inch pan. In a large mixing bowl beat egg white and water till frothy. Add nuts and toss. Mix sugar and spice together and sprinkle over nuts and toss.
Spread nuts in a layer in the pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool slightly and then transfer to waxed paper. Break into clusters when cooled. Store covered up to one week. Makes 8 cups.
Experiment…
Start with a toasted batch (put them in the overn @ 350 for 10 to 20 minutes) then brush them with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar seasoning. That is what I would do!
I take a gallon freezer bag and put brown sugar in that, then I put butter in the bottom of the skillet on low just to cover your amount of pecans, spoon butter as it melts over the pecans til well coated then remove from heat let cool then put the butter covered pecans in the bag with brown sugar and shake til all pecans are well coated then lay in a single layer on a cookie sheet ,put in oven on 400 degrees for 15 minutes or til brown, watch as they will burn easy.I make big batches then put them in a sealed container for snacks for the kids.Very tasty!
Melt 1 cube butter (real butter) in a sauce pan on low heat. Slowly mix in 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar to create a carmel colored syrup. add 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cinnimon, and 1/4 tsp nutmeg. Bring to a simmer. don’t burn or scorch. Pour over 5-6 cups of peacans in a bowl. Stir until covered. Spread out evenly on cookie sheet and place in the oven for 5-10 minutes at 350 degrees. let cool and Enjoy!
Spiced Pecans
1 egg white
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp water
1/2 tsp of salt
1 lb. of pecan halves
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp each, nutmeg, ginger, and all-spice
Preheat oven 200 degrees F. Beat egg white and water until frothy. Pour over nuts and coat completely. Combine sugar, spices and salt. Pour over nuts and coat. Spread onto a greased foil lined jelly roll pan or cookie sheet and bake for 2 hours, stirring gently after each 1/2 hour. For extra crispness, let pecans remain in oven for at least 1 hour with oven turned off. Cool and store in an air tight container. Makes 5 cups. Enjoy!!
These are amazing.
Take 1 egg white and whip it but not too dry.
Mix about 2 cups pecans into the egg white to coat the pecans.
Mix 1 cup of sugar and 1 tbs of Cinnamon and 2 tsp of water.
Mix well.
Bake (not layered) on a cookie sheet for about 10 minutes at about 275.
Stir and bake again until they start to brown. NOT TOO BROWN.
Easy, quick and yummy! All my friends think I’m amazing when I bring these to parties.
Hope this helps.
My pecans are in my freezer and I just do this while they are still frozen and it still works.
